However my brain is on an endless skip loop, like a record with a scratch. I need about 10-15 more pages and I'm finished. However I write in pieces and I'm having a hard time pulling the last few together. <sigh> Instead I figured I'd write a bit about my darling little girl!
Today was Addie's Birthday! The little darling turned one and seemed to know it. Other than the regular battle of the naps she was as happy as a clam all day! These last few days have been rather busy for my trying to pull it all together. There were tutu's and crowns to make. Cakes to be baked and copious amounts of glitter to be swept and mopped up 5 times over. Needless to say we have still not unpacked a thing from the forth of July!
Today I decorated the cakes. Addie had a pink rose cake with a cookie 1 on top. (I didn't want to risk her eating a candle.) and for the adults I make a chocolate cake covered with modeling chocolate. It was my first attempt and there should have been more icing and a second batch of milk chocolate but I ran both out of time and money so I figured it would have to do. I don't know why I haven't used modeling chocolate earlier. I think I want to marry it. Marry it and have little chocolate babies. Not really but still. It was a dream to work with, very similar to clay which I worked with very well in the past. I can't wait to see what kind of doors it opens!
We had family and friends over (those who could make it that is and those who are far away from us we missed you dearly!) Addie got lots of sweet presents and oh so many that make noise! Off switches can be lovely things. Addie was in heaven with all the new toys and the endless attention. She basks in attention. We set her down and waited for her to smash her cake but she sat there and daintily picked off the frosting piece by piece. I tried to get her to smash her hands in it but she just looked at me like "Mommy what are you doing? Look how pretty I'm eating" and continued to pick at the icing so we just stripped her down and gave her cake in her high chair all cut up.
She had a lovely day and I can't believe that it has been a whole year since our little munchkin decided to join our family! Happy birthday Addie love, here's to many more!
There are any number of reasons but I suppose the first and foremost is that being a mom keeps you busy and when you do have free time...well there are so many other things I want to do like...I dunno. Eating lol.

All jokes aside I've actually been spending time writing my novel. I'm at 260 pages and it's really starting to come together. It's rough and unpolished but I have whole chapters and it's starting to get exciting. It's become my obsession that I work on every spare moment I have. Blogs are great fun but difficult for me personally to maintain. I don't know if anyone else has this problem. My awesome cousin...Cousin-in-law? Jessie is a whiz at it! There is always awesome pictures and quirky fun stories that I can completely relate with. Maybe Addie is to young for anything mind blowing but I think some of my best stories go along the lines of "Addie has a tooth!" or "She's climbing in the cupboards now! Lucky for us all the bottom ones are empty!" Which is fine for me. I'm happy enough as it all goes but heaven forbid....trying to write a story to make that scenario entertaining is something beyond me.

So it anyone is reading this to find out what is going on with our lovely family here it is. We are in our lovely apartment that I'm fair in love with. Addie is finally! getting her first tooth and took her first step on the 22 of may. She doesn't walk willing though. She get's mad when we try to make her but she loves to climb everything! She is in 12 month clothes now and is the cutest baby ever. She normally is super obedient and happy but when she wants something bad enough....gosh dang she has sass!

William has finally got consistent work. He works in a woodworking shop three days a week, does a big brother program which gives him about 20 hours a week. They are both flexible and good working conditions which is heaven sent for us! He starts working for the Shakespeare Festival week after next which will leave him crazy busy at 45-50 hours a week. He as always is that happy, hard working nerd I fell in love with. He's informed me that nothing else interesting has happened but he is rather excited to go to the Nelson family reunion as am I!

As I said earlier I have been working on my book which is coming along quite nicely. I chopped my hair all off mostly because I like looking nice with as little effort as possible and Addie was mistaking my hair for repunzles which was very uncomfortable. I like it alot actually. I sometimes miss my long hair but I figure...I never have time to actually do anything with it. I have been working on various other projects to. Sewing, artwork etc. My family sometimes will ask if there was a reason I'm making something...say a scale replica of the house in UP out of paper. I really don't have a reason. Mostly I get an idea and it seems to swallow me whole. It's all I can think about and it won't rest until I finish it. I think I was made to make things. Cakes, art, sewing, music, photos. I love it all :)

We are happily spending our days outside in the warmth as much as possible, watching copious amounts of disney movies and singing broadway song altogether to much. We couldn't be happier and love you all!
I heard that phrase over and over growing up but never really thought to much about it. When I was in middle school, high school I always dreamed about how freakin awesome I would be as a mom. The thing is no matter how much you think you prepare...your never really ready for it.

When we first walked in our home with Addie I was on cloud nine. Our beautiful little girl was here! I had so much I wanted to do, plans and I was trying to soak in the advice of all the wise women before me. I learned some things pretty quick though.

1. I wasn't going to be as much of a social butterfly as I thought.
I got home and honestly I really didn't want to see anyone. Not because I was depressed or anything but because I wanted to enjoy the time with my new family. I mean we were really a family now. Plus Addie was not on any sort of eating schedule and it felt awkward to go to the back room to feed her while people sat out in my front room, also I can't sleep while other people are in my house. Weird i know but true.

2. I'm my own worst enemy.
Dont worry about cleaning! says well...everyone. "take the first couple of weeks taking care of yourself" I would sit and agree with everyone. And then I'd feel like I was being lazy and try to do it anyways with disastrous consequence.

3.Disposable diapers...best things ever.
Ok first month alone...I did a tally of diapers changed. Almost 400, I seriously applude those that are doing or did cloth diapering. I think it would drive me nuts.

4. I wouldn't feel as bad as I thought when she cried
Ok...first month I was up in a flash every time she let out her sad little whimper. However when she cries almost none stop for 7 hours and NOTHING you do helps. Sometimes whispering about how your going to sell her to McDonalds where they will make her a slave to clean under the fridges...helps. Honestly cause its a ridiculous and slightly funny seniaro.

5. It's ok to get crumbs in your babies hair.
I realized it is pretty hard to get a chance to eat as a mom and often when you do get to eat your holding the baby. After the first couple of times of feeling like a horrible mother I realized, hey crumbs brush off, she can get a bath it's OK.

6. Mother comparing.
I think all mothers are guilty of this at some point. Looking around and saying "Well look at what she does when she has kids. Why can't I do it?" For awhile I felt like everyone was looking at me thinking I was a bad mother. Will just set me down and ask me to name one person that had said that and when I had nothing he told me to remember that. No one is actually saying that. I've come to realize that maybe I do something awesome that another mom doesn't do. Some mothers craft, some make beautiful blogs about their childs life, some keep a perfectly clean house, some cook, the list goes on. Each mother is amazing just in their own way. :)

7. Having Addie sleep away from me was much harder than I thought.
Seriously it took a little over 2 months before I worked up the courage to let her sleep in the next room, but i came to understand the overwhelming fear your child is somehow going to be in imment danger is fairly normal.

8. She didn't hurt mine and Wills relationship.
I heard so much crap about how children make it so much harder with your spouse and how you'll never get to do the things you want that I was worried we'd be fighting all the time and that for awhile life would just kinda suck. Honestly it's strengthen mine and Wills we have never felt so united. There is more compromise, harder decisions, less money but...She's so worth it!

9.Just because somethings work for other people children doesnt mean they'll work on all.
I pinned a butt load of crap that I was sure was foolproof. Yeah most of it didn't work like the "wake your baby up every three hours" in order to get them on a sleep schedule. I laughed my head off reading that later. Seriously what kind of wonderful newborn sleeps for 3 hours straight? Addie sure didn't she would sleep longest 2 hours for the first month. I would literally go 2 days with no sleep at all. I eventually made her eat every three hours and she finally settled in to her sleeping patteren where she is now sleeping 6-9 hours a night. :D But will that work for all children? Probably not. Ya got to experment much more than I thought.

10. Do your best
I guess in summary I've learned as a new mom to just do your best. I realized I'm going to screw up with her the good thing is for right now my little bundle of joy has the memory of a potato. 12 years from now she's not going to demand why I let her cry while I mopped the floor. She's not going to feel betrayed because of the shots she got at her 2 month. All she will know is what people tell her. And even though I'm sure a certain grandfather is going to inform her she was stolen from the zoo and given plastic surgery to look human (I grew up being told I was a stray dog) She's going to be perfectly fine :)
She's been in the wonderful country of England for the last 18 months. I have to admit I'm excited. I can't wait to see her and honestly I can't wait to see the rest of the Nelson family clan. I have missed everyone, very, very much. So much has changed since I've seen everyone. I had a cousin get married, cousin's had babies, and other cousins have left on missions that I won't get to see for another 2 years! How fast everything changes.

It makes me sit back and think for a moment, about when Rylee left on her mission...About where I was than.
This is me...about a year and a half- Two years ago. Oblivous to everything that would soon happen.I couldn't even dream where my path would lead me in just a few short years, or how much I would change. At this point two years ago, I was casually dating a guy, it was really more of a fling in my opinion. He was sweet, and kind but would I tell you it would lead somewhere? Not on your life.

That's when I hopped on a roller coaster of confusion, joy and well...fear. I thought I knew what love was. I always thought movie love was cheesy and completely unrealistic. My version of love came from the books I loved so dearly. I didn't read the sappy romances, so in my mind, that love was completely plausible.

William was my best friend. I often referred to him as my "Flounder" (Little Mermaid reference). I loved him but I was waiting for the feeling described in books. That rush of emotion that never goes away, that thrill. I thought than that I had to have that to be happy. It wasn't until I made the mistake of almost losing him that I realized what love really was. Me and will had that and we decided not ever let that go.
May 5 2012, I married my best friend, and it was the happiest day of my life. Life was wonderful, everyday I saw more and more what a wonderful man I had married. We brought out the best in each other, our weaknesses were the others strengths. My family saw a difference in me before I did, I didn't realize I was changing. What really hit me is when one of my friends came and said something sarcastic and it completely slipped over my head. At first I panicked when I realized I had lost my sarcasm. In the past it seemed like such a vital part of me. But than I realized I use to use sarcasm to feel clever and witty. In a way it was kind of a shield. With Will I didn't need that anymore, I didn't have to try to impress him. He loved me, for me.

Than comes July 8 2013, we became a family of three. The day I was married still is the happiest day I can think of but this day...This day was the most miraculous, the most fulfilling, and perhaps the most life changing day that I had and will ever have. Pregnancy and Labor are exsaughsting and difficult but holding our daughter for the first time...just makes the whole thing worth it. Addie is almost a month old now and I can hardly believe time has flown by so fast. In a way I am saddened at how fast she is growing. I'm trying to savor every moment, because I know how much I'm going to miss this. Will constantly reminds me about how much fun we will have with her though. The first time we hear her little voice say "I love you" and the first time she will hug us.

Two years ago I would have never dreamed that this would be my future. Two years ago I was a completely different person than I am now. I wonder how different I'll seem to Rylee now, I wonder how different Rylee will be. Or for that fact how different the rest of my cousins will be.I guess that's how life is though, things change, we change, nothing can stay the same forever. In a way I've kind of had a theme for my life "plan for the future but live for the moment" Every second that ticks by we'll never get back. And with how fast life is moving...I'd like to look back and feel like I didn't waste a single one. Addie Lorraine Casper was born. Will was teary eyed as he said “Honey you did
so great! There’s our little girl. Oh sweetheart she’s gorgeous” The took her
away and cleaned her and then set her in my arms. As I watched our little girl
wiggle I started to cry. I recognized those movements as the same I had felt
while she was inside me. I started sobbing “I know you…I know you” and as I held her I didn’t feel that huge
rush of love or anything that I read in books but instead felt a sense of this
is always how it was meant to be. And as I looked down at the little girl I had
carried for 9 months I suddenly realized I had no idea how I survived without
her. She made our family feel…complete and whole.

34 weeks....I can't believe it. Actually I kind of can lol, in many ways it
seems like I've been pregnant for forever. I can hardly believe that in a few
weeks I will be a mother. I always dreamed of that sort of thing but to
actually be one, is rather well... overwhelming.
I'm rather envious of Will at the current moment. His biggest fear is that
her favorite Disney princess will someday be Snow White.
Addie is a wiggle worm! And also stubborn, or maybe shy. In every single
ultrasound that girl refuses to show her face, no matter how much we poke and
prod her! However when she isn't in front of the "Camera" she's a
little ninja! Especially at night...I'm really praying that, that is not a trend
that will continue once's she's out! So far on all the check ups she seems to
be doing great and I actually am gaining weight at a decent rate! Yay me
:)
(Hi guys!) in order to see Will's brother Garrett's Seminary Graduation. I had
a mini baby shower in Texas (Thanks Becky!) and than my main one in St. George
a couple weeks later (Thanks Mimi & Ellyse!) We got lots and lots of
clothes! Addie is going to be one well dressed baby. And I have to admit, I'm
torn between being jealous of how many clothes she has and grateful cause I get
to play dress up with them (She's going to look fabulous!) (she has another
drawer full of clothes to!)
While we were in St. George we swung by and saw my family and actually
got to spend some time in a pool. Pools are awesome when you preggers. Really
the whole "weightlessness" thing rocks. While we were there we
stopped at Target to grab some stuff and saw these babies! Did we get them?
Heck yes we did. I really want to try them out with some pink lemonaid so they
look like more legit dentures. Oh the things one loves when they are weird and
devious.
So lately I think I've been suffering from nesting. I clean the house
several times each day and have this strange compulsion to organize everything
in sight. Addie's bedroom (which was kind of our storage room before) took me a
total of 13 hours just to organize! But she has half a closet now which
is the best I could do and honestly I don't think she's going to pop out of the
womb and rage at me because she doesn't have enough closet space lol.
a nightlight and we are golden. Wanna see pictures? Sure you do! Pictures are
much more interesting than me talking. So here is wall one, I have the pictures
I painted and a couple of shadow boxes. One of the shadow boxes is covering the
super highly attractive thermostat cause...well I didn't like it. She doesn't
have a lot of floor space either so having a toy box was kind of impractical. I
saw a similar basket on Pintrest but those baskets were only 14" and 22
bucks a basket! (yikes!) so I went to good old Home Depot and got a 28"
"Trough" for 18 bucks. Much better :)
I'm far enough into my pregnancy I feel like I can offically start to voice
my views on the whole experiance. Pregnancy is hard, unless your a magical
pregnancy unicorn that has a super great pregnancy (in that case congrats to
you!) Pregnancy is on of the most physically and metally exsausting things I
have ever done. There are months of physical ups and downs between morning
sickness, pelvic pain and lack of the blessed Advil. At the end you start to
just feel beat up and think longingly of just how great you use to feel before
your body was inhabited by another human being.

Then there is the mental part. Ladies hormones freakin rage when your
pregnant. One minute you will wake up and glance lovingly at your kind and
wonderful husband and the next second you want to beat him soundly with your
pillow because he is sleeping there peacefully while you have to get up for the
millionth time to pee. Illogical? Yes. Am I betting the majority of women
around the world have felt this way at some point? Also yes. Also there is the
pressure of all the do's and don'ts of pregnancy and the fear that if you mess
up that you will somehow ruin your child forever and it will be all your fault.
Plus the realization that everything you know about your world is going to
change. It's a lot to take in!

But here is what I think stops pregnancy from being a total nightmare...for the
first time you get to help god with a miracle. You help build the most
important parts of his eternal plan. A body. It's what we fought for and
essential to everything and you are given the power to create one. How amazing
is that? Then you start to feel this pull of affection towards your little bean
even though you haven't even seen them yet and it get's you through all the
rough parts because you realize it's for them and suddenly that's all that
really matters anymore. Is that they are ok and healthy.

Slowly you begin to realize you are going to be a part of something so much
bigger than you ever imagined.

I'm so grateful for my little girl, I'm so grateful for my husband who has
been amazing throughout this whole thing, and I'm grateful for all those who
have shown their constant love and support. Thanks for reading. -NaKya

So to start the story you should know, I have weak teeth.
Always have. And unless they invent someway to turn teeth into these awesome titanium
like structures that never crack and rot…I’m pretty sure I’ll always have weak
teeth. Genetically that’s not the worse thing to happen. I could be blind or
have some other horrible thing wrong but lucky enough I just have crappy teeth.

As a result I have an irrational fear of the Dentist. Mostly
because nothing good ever happens to me there. As a child I had plenty of
cavities. They seemed to appear with every check up, while my younger sisters
frolicked around with suckers and the dentist praises for perfect teeth ringing
in their sweet little ears.

As a disclaimer I can’t say as I child I took great care of
my teeth. I brushed yes but flossing was more of something I did right after
the dentist office and never again. I have a short attention span unless I’m
focusing on something interesting. And up till honestly college, sending 10
minutes a night on my teeth was not interesting. I was more into either
sleeping or reading a good book.

However my first year of college lead to a horrible
discovery. After a routine check up I found I had yet…dun dun dun, another
cavity. And I realized with growing horror that I had to pay for the agony and
pain required to fix my own stupid cavities now. The dentist I was going to at
the time told me that a silver filling was cheaper and there wasn’t any
difference except that a silver filling wasn’t as pretty so I took it. After that experience I became VERY interested
in my teeth. Brushing and flossing like crazy, mouthwash twice a day. I would
spend quiet a bit of time on my teeth.

Now I had some small cavities right after I got my braces
off. I guess the metal bands around my very back teeth were just loose enough
that some food slipped in and caused minor cavities. My dentist put them on
watch and told me not to worry.

Well go back about 8 months ago. I went to a new dentist up
here in cedar city for a cleaning and you guessed it. The cavities I was told
not to worry about had gotten bigger. So
I scheduled for about a month out to get the bigger of them filled. But by the
time the appointment came I was already preggers. The dentist strongly
encouraged me to wait until I had seen the obgyn before getting them filled. So
I ask my obgyn and he said to wait till the 2nd trimester if at all
possible. So I figured, they weren’t that bad, no big deal. And was to busy
being sick the rest of my 1st trimester to think of them much more.

So 2nd trimester rolls around the first visit I
forgot to ask the obgyn if there was anything special I needed to tell the dentist (the dentist
office had said for them to fax over what I could and couldn’t have done) So I waited until the next visit. The obgyn
said to go for it that I should be just fine, but to try and get it all done
before my third trimester started which is in May. So setting aside my rather
irrational fear, I set to work making an appointment to get my teeth checked
out and then an appointment to get a set of cavities filled the week after. I
was feeling rather proud of myself until the day I ate that one fateful fry.

It was a beautiful fry really, steaming hot, crunchy and all
together perfect but as I bit down I felt a quick flash of pain. I stared at the perfect hot little fry for a
moment wondering how something so perfect, so wonderful could cause pain before
I realized that something might actually be wrong with one of my teeth. As I
ran to the bathroom to investigate I saw one of my back molars had a thin dark
crevasse running down it. Like some demonic little dwarf had gone mining there.
I gulped and panicked. I would need a root canal! It’d hurt! Take days to take
care of at least and it would be so expensive! Pregnancy has made me prone to
sever anxiety attacks and it took my poor husband awhile to calm me down.

We went into the dentist, luckily no root canal was needed.
However my cavities had worsened and multiplied! That day I got three cavities
filled all of them apparently were very deep. I however was feeling a bit more
cheerful because I had caught them
before more serious dental work was needed. I figured I get all my cavities
filled in as soon as possible and then when Addie came I would have one less
thing to worry about. So I set an appointment for every week of April. I
figured surely nothing could happen in a week right? Wrong.

The next fateful fall happened about 3 days later, between
two of my teeth that were set to be filled a black dot appeared between them. I
thought perhaps it was just food stuck and I flossed till my gums were a bloody
mess. No luck. It wasn’t food, it was my teeth. Again hits another anxiety
attack and my husband trying to calm me down.
I finally did. I was brushing after I ate any sort of food and being as
diligent as ever with my teeth. There was nothing more I could do but hope,
wait and pray. Ironically though all the teeth that were bugging me and so
serious to fix were the ones that 8 months ago had the smallest cavities. The
teeth with the biggest cavities hadn’t bothered me at all so they were set to
be the last ones filled.

Then hit the next tooth disaster. I was eating some
dehydrated apples and bit odd. I felt
agonizing pain rip though my jaw. I was in tears it hurt so bad I went to the
bathroom to check but it was the tooth that had been filled my first year of
college and I could see nothing wrong with it. I gulped down the only pain
reliever I am able to have (Crappy Tylenol…does that actually work for
anyone??????) still in tears and tried
googling what it might be. The closest I could find was perhaps a loose filling.
My next dentist appoint was in three days I figured I could make it till
then. The pain would come and go.
Sometimes biting down hurt, other times eating sweets made it ache unbearably
and sometimes just chewing would lead to waves of pain that left me crying and
wishing for Asprin. But sometimes…it wouldn’t bug me at all which lead me to be
even more confused as to what was going on.

Meanwhile my darling mother in law sent a birthday package
which as of yet I have not much touched but in it was a box of chocolates. Not
just any chocolates, but chocolates from a little shop called “Sublime” Which I
do believe is ONLY found in Texas. In that shop the chocolates are made of
babies laughs, drops of sunlight and fairy dust. The chocolates there come in
so many flavors it could make your head spin. I found myself nibbling the edges
of one longingly trying to pretend my poor mouth was not in agonizing pain to
have sugar touch it. Then sighed and put it back while counting the chocolates
again and again and trying to somehow to taste the sweet perfect chocolate by
smelling it.

Today I went to the dentist again. They looked at the tooth
confused as I was. They said I had symptoms of a badly cracked tooth but they
couldn’t seem to find it on either X-ray or just by looking. The doctor finally
found a crack and informed me that silver fillings made the teeth weak and
brittle and more prone to cracking (which left me fairly fuming at my other
dentist for not telling me that) and with the fact the pregnancy was already weakening
my teeth that was all it took. So He said to try and save it from a root canal
he would take out the old filling and fill the crack as best he was able…but
not today because alas he had no time.

He worked on the teeth that had the black dot. He said my
teeth were going pretty fast now. Little known to me a week made all the
difference in the world. He said he was barely able to save “tooth 19” and that
in a few years it will need a crown but hopefully never a root canal. That’s
when I realized I needed to move up my appointments. My husband looked on in
some sort of awe at me. He knew my feelings about the dentist. Knew I wanted my
birthday to be special but my mouth was sore, my birthday was tomorrow. I was
so tired of being worried about loosing my teeth or needing a root canal. So
sick of it hurting to eat that I scheduled an appointment to get my cracked
tooth fixed the morning of my birthday and my last set of cavities filled the
day after. Tic Tac Toe, three in a row. I just couldn’t take it anymore.

Hopefully the teeth that started out with the biggest cavity
that haven’t bothered me don’t need a root canal and are no worse off then my
other teeth. I can only hope though. I’ll keep you posted, and that ladies and
gentlemen is how I got 10 teeth filled within the space of two weeks. You’re all jealous aren’t you?

So those of you like my husband and lovely sisters be
grateful. You have wonderful teeth. For those of us with sad, strange little
teeth. Good luck, my heart goes out to you and trust me I feel your pain.

Our little girl is starting to move now. I've felt her for the last couple of weeks and for some reason the more still and relaxed I am the more she seems to wiggle. I'm not for sure if it is because she likes me moving or if I just notice it more since I'm not doing anything. She also likes to stay in the tightest place available to her. I know that she can move up a little but she like to kick and wiggle right around my hipbones still so no one can really feel her move. She kicked for her daddy a couple of weeks ago but he just didn't know what he was looking for so he kept saying he didn't feel her but now she is kicking hard enough I had Sir
William try again and he could feel her. It was such a magical moment
for the both of us. He just kept saying over and over again. "That's our little girl! I can feel her move!"

I have had a couple people asking about pregnancy cravings. Despite what the media says most women do NOT live off of pickles and ice cream. For me I haven't even had a craving that is consistent except maybe cereal. I eat cereal like nobody's business, not a certain kind, just cereal. I've also had several people ask how I've been feeling and honestly second trimester rocks.

I mean I don't feel normal but seriously being able to eat food again and not gagging at every smell is heaven. I could create a lovely ballad about the second trimester, but I won't. Or maybe I will but I won't make you all suffer through it lol. So far the only (mild) downside to the second trimester is that I've been soooo tired. I think part of it is the pregnancy and part of it is the stress of everything that is going on right now. I'm not going to spill my guts online about everything that's going on but it really is a lot for this little pregnant lady. I know everything will be ok but with everything that is going on sometimes I just wish I'd stop getting pep talks from everyone I talk to and just have them listen and tell my I'm not crazy to be stressed out about what's going on. That's if it were them that they would be worried to. (I guess I'm weird like that, if everything is going wrong I just want someone to understand) Sorry there is my one little rant. I promise I won't do it again in this blog entry :) Still I guess I'd rather have pep talks than think that nobody cares at all. So for everyone who has been there for me. Thank you so much. (Also I would just like to add a special thanks to my lovely sister in law that came to my rescue with some great harvest bread, I'm a sucker for good bread it's hard to cry while eating hot cin bread smothered in butter) (Engh what can I say I'm a food person)

We have our little girls room mostly set up! Now we just need to decorate! Me and Will are pretty into secret themes if we can get away with it. Our own room is roughly based off of the lion king. With dark wood and the colors are a burnt orange, yellow and brown. The only thing that kind of gives it away is the painting of pride rock that I did. It's classy and adult like. I love subtlety where a room looks cozy and sophisticated and you don't really notice the theme unless you look around and go "OH!". We thought about our little girls room and decided in princess Disney movies about 90% of them share one thing. The forest. So we are doing a woodland theme for her. I'm thinking greens, browns and rich red. Red because I like toadstools, I think they are adorable and they make me think of gnomes. No one is going to tell me I can't put toadstools in her room. We figured with a forest theme she can decide what princess she wants to be (also

the colors are easily adaptable for a boy's room which is a plus.)

It's been a busy, busy week! So much going on! Between working, meal planning, budgeting, cleaning, lesson planning, cooking and of course thinking about baby stuff. I felt has if this week has just flown past! So to catch up here are some pictures of our lovely couches.

Both recline and we got the set for 100$ not a bad deal if you ask me :) I'm very proud of myself for finding them. It took a little effort to get them to our house though we had to call my lovely grandparents and borrow their truck and then there were the small set of stairs and of course we had to take our door off to get them inside our apt. It was hard work! but not for me...I was making dinner while William, his good friend Tyrell, my Grandfather and Christine did all the lifting and such. I figured with my little noodle arms i'd just get i the way so i figured at least i could make dinner for everyone!

We went to a Young Married Dance hosted by the insitiute and it was pretty fun! They took pictures there but my email didn't get them so you'll just have to try and imagine how spiffy we looked ;) I wore my red and black lace dress that i love so and will looked dashing in a red shirt and black tie. It was the first time that kind of wished that i wasn't showing. Cause for people that don't know me it looks more like i overloaded on doughnuts more then a baby bump. But it was so much fun to just dance and act all crazy.

(Really the secound trimester is so great. I still just can't believe how sick i was the first trimester. I do recall on really bad days jokingly asking Will if it was possible to put me in a six month coma. Of course he refused lol)
So here is my little baby belly! I put it with a picture of me before i got pregnant and me at 15 weeks. SEE there is a difference!

William and Tyrell had a bro's night the other night. It was honestly the first time me and Will were apart for an activity and i'm not going to lie it felt kind of weird. But when i got home from work i saw a card and flowers waiting for me. Aw my sweet husband. He does spoil me so!

And lastly....

we went to the Dr. Office and as the nurse was taking the heart rate we kept hearing a "whooomp!" noise like every few secounds. She looked at me and gave a little smile saying normally it didn't take so long but the baby kept kicking at the machine. Haha apperently i have a little ninja inside my tummy! So drum roll please.... We will be finding out the gender March 5th which is about 2 weeks away so feel free to post what you think baby Casperlet might be! So far we have 1 vote for a girl and 1 vote for a boy. So all y'all speak up i wanna know what your guess is! :D

Its been awhile since I’ve
wrote anything and for those who are reading this I am very sorry.

I was talking to my dad the other day and he was thinking of
writing a blog (which I think he should he’s a brilliant writer) but he
couldn’t decided who his audience was. If it would be public, for the family,
like a diary or so on. Which left me thinking…who am I writing for? And I have
come to the conclusion. No one. I don’t write like it’s a diary because that
would be far too personal, I think I just write for whoever wants to read. Be
it family, future grandchildren or monkeys from space. I just write because it
calms me.

Part of the reason I haven’t wrote much of anything lately
is because well…there didn’t seem to be much to write about other then

“Today I threw up everything I ever ate in my lifetime!”

Which is depressing
and not very fun to read.

However now that morning sickness is starting to fade there
is a little bit more to write about J
…little by little I can eat again. Which if any of you know me, you know how
much I love food and what a happy occasion eating is right now. My biggest joy? Meat. Yep the bulk of the first trimester anything
meat related would send me rushing for the porcelain throne. Smell, touch, even
seeing it…it was bad. Also veggies became a huge no-no. needless to say food
like pasta and pancakes became very important to me.

The baby takes after its dad. I tried to feed it healthy
things and it rejected it and demanded potato chips and Shockers. I fear for
the future…

Along with the food issues have been the crazy emotional
roller coaster. My poor angel of a husband would sit in confusion as I sobbed
helplessly over an episode of “Friends”

But I keep being told it’s worth it and funny enough I
believe it. Seeing and hearing that little munchkins heart beating would be
enough for anyone. Let me tell you…it really is amazing.

I’m afraid I have no pictures of “here look at my belly!”
Cause I’m not really showing and my outfit tends to consist of sweats, a
t-shirt and a roughly done braid. Which don’t really scream “I’m a model!” I sit back and look at these pregnant women
who dress to the nine constantly and go “how do you do it?”

And for the pregnant women what else do we have? Drum roll
please…Couches!!!!! Or a couch and a recliner. We got em for a steal and let me
tell you its much nicer to lay on those then on the floor. They are lovely!
They are all squishy and wonderful. And I’m pretty much in love with them. I
have no pictures on this one sorry :/ but mostly I just wanted to get caught up
there should be more this Friday :)

of what to say lately. Well it's December and it is officially mine and Wills first big holiday together. Whoo! We went out and got a little 20 dollar tree, some gold and silver ornaments and perched right on the top of the tree is Hedwig the owl. We pushed Big Bear (I named it when i was like 5...I was an orignal child obviously lol) under our tree with a jolly santa hat on and put an (ahem) Reindeer under the tree to (...its a moose...not in the picture though sorry!) Its a jolly sight to see :)

We love our new apt! It's a cute, cozy and vintage! It screams 70's :) It makes me think of my grandpas house before it was remodeled.
We've done a couple of fun dates lately. One of them being our "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" Night. We pulled it up on YouTube and dressed like we were in the 50's. Then made ourselves a wonderful dinner and had a glass of zee bubbly (sparkling apple cider :)

Since everyone is going crazy about we thought it would be fun to take a picture under it :)

Then we went to the best...and I mean BEST ice cream place ever. It is called Maggie Moo's. Now normally I'm not a huge ice cream freak because well...I like cake better. But this place...I would sacrifice cake to have an ice cream here!I love their Marshmallow and Cotton Candy (not flavors i normally dig either but these are. to. die. for!) I swirled Marshmallow, Cotton Candy, and Raspberries together for my ice cream cone. I know it might sound a little weird but it was positively brilliant!...Great now I want to go get some... Sigh.
After that we went to see 007 and of course took many a pictures by the Hobbit Posters. Because yes we are indeed nerds. My favorite part was listening to Christine go on and on about Bilbo and trying to find a good picture of him.
Now I made some cupcakes that I was rather proud of. I call them the Gobbler. Its a white cake with an oreo bottom, a cookie dough center, brownie frosting and a lindor truffle for the head...It is one of my personal favorites :) Thanksgiving was at my Grandmas house this year and we feasted on mashed potatoes, turkey and rolls. But mostly mashed potatoes ;) Everyone was talking and laughing the boys went out and played on the hillside (Will is included in that since Braden idolizes him) and the girls took zany pictures while the parents caught up with each other. We had to sadly leave at 5 though so will could get to work. But it was a great day!
We decided we need another date so we went on a walk, since it wasn't to cold. I loaded my jacket full of chalk and we set off drawing and arrow pointing the way we were walking every few feet. We walked down to the stone church. Will suggest we look to see if it was open since a car was parked out front. So we went up and...it was open! As we were walking around an elderly man came to ask us what we were doing and we just explained we were curious to know what the inside looked like since it looked so pretty on the outside. So he gave us a tour. And let me tell you this. It is the most beautiful church i have ever seen. They have a baptizim fount that is no longer in use cause it leaks but he showed us anyways. It had a mural of Christ being baptized across all four walls and the font itself was made out of every stone imaginable. I'm still awe struck by how lovely it was. We thanked him and continued walking at the end of our walk we left all the chalk as a prize to whoever followed our path. :)

November is such a beautiful month. It’s the month you can
sit back look around at fall leaves, relish the harvest and think of all the
things that you are thankful for. These last few days have been hectic to say
the least. Since we have to move and are trying to move out with in the next
two days, our days have been filled with a lot of packing and trying to figure
out how to move our mattress lol. It might be strapped to the top of Will’s car
all ghetto like unless we can find someone with a truck. But I must say lots of
suitcases are great to pack stuff it. It kind of looks like we are going to go
on a very long vacation <span style="font-family: Wingdings; mso-ascii-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-char-type: symbol; mso-hansi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-symbol-font-family: Wingdings;"> (man don’t I wish! going to be a huge blessing. Will and
I both know it. We will be by more people our age which will be nice, it will
be cheaper and our friends are the apt mangers. So over all its going to be
very good, and we are very thankful.

getting better. There are so many awesome things that just make him amazing! Here are just some of

First new post in like ages! Haha I finally have a computer
again! My inlaws were kind enough to give us some old laptops they no
longer used and I'm stoked! (Thank you again Casper clan!) My new baby
computer is named Jarvis and i love him :)

So I would just like to cover a few things that you have missed out on the last month or so since baby blue died (My old computer)

First of all I slayed the 200 cupcake making task and had a lot of compliments, to my surprise on my frosting i guess i have finally perfected it! Wooo Hoo!!!! :D I was super tired by the end though. Next time i'll split the baking into two days!

Next me and the husbter have been addicted to "Lie to Me" We seem to watch an episode every night!

And lastly it was my most wonderful, sexy husbands birthday this last Sunday! His parents sent a box to our house and for days he sat staring at it trying to guess what was in it. Yep that's my hubby. :) When the day finally came i woke up him up at 11:11 (cause what better time is there to make a wish!) and brought him Cake Batter Pancakes (You can never have enough cake on your birthday right?!)

He was so happy (or maybe just sugar high?) and was so adorable i just couldn't stop kissing him (not that i think he minded ;) He after much begging, i let him open his gift from me which was a superman, letter man jacket. I saw it at the store and knew my superhero obsessed husband could not possibly live without it!
The cake was light blue and pink (It was SUPPOSE to be red and dark blue :p) and had the justice league symbols all the way around it and on top was of course...the super man symbol. :) Will loved it and didn't care that the cake looked more like a baby shower cake on the inside. He's always happy though. Through his eyes the world is happy and good and there is always hope and a happy surprise around the corner. It's kind of nice :)
We drove down to St. George and met his dad, sister and grandparents, soon after my family joined. We had pizza (One of Williams favorite things in the world lol :) and talked for hours! We then had the cake though will blew out the candles to fast so we made him pretend to still be blowing them out so we could have a picture mine didn't turn out though...ah well :)RanDumbly Ever Afterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17680919856934080204noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2879697957776770954.post-64453250845195290712012-10-26T10:52:00.000-07:002012-10-26T22:47:23.802-07:00Saving money on food!

So stories today, I would like to brag that I went grocery shopping for one whole month and only spent 120 $. Yeppers that boils down to 30 dollars a week for food and its not like we are starving either I splurged this week and got the super nice thick cut bacon and Starbucks hot chocolate mix! (I didn't even know they had those!)

Some awesome things on the menu are:
Chimichangas
Orange chicken
Grilled cheese and Homemade Tomato Parmesan Soup
Mongolain beef
Potato soup
Apricot chicken panni's
Homemade Mac and Cheese
Pulled pork sandwhiches
And ya know half a dozen other things. (Please excuse the full names of the meals. I have this thing where i view food as art so i just can't say "tomato soup" or "beef" it's one of my weird little quirks)

I've discovered the trick for cooking for two... (for those of my friends that have been asking how i do it...here is how! )

First of all soups are really cheap and you always get at least two meals out of them which is great! Once your done eating stick the rest in the freezer and presto chango you have a meal for a couple weeks down the row.

Next trick. Try to stick to one cut of meat. Ours is normally chicken but me and the hubbster can only tolerate the same meat for so long so we have a one other cut of meat this week it's beef. (the pork is left over from last week.)

Tip three. Go meatless twice a week at least! Think Spaghetti or cheese pizza, still good meals just waaaay cheaper :)

Also I know sometime you just can't but if you can GO OUT FOR DINNER. Seriously its a splurge but someday you are going to have kids and going out to dinner where you talk about each other and your day
and how much you love each other, will be a thing of the past never to
be had again. This is a common complaint i've heard from people in our
ward. They say all they talk about now is how the kids are doing, IF
they ever manage to get out. Not that kids are bad i think they are the
best thing in the world with their chubby cheeks and sweet little cooos and little fingers. (Aw!!!!) I'm just saying...enjoy the time you have now. Your only going to live this part of your life once so have fun!

Not that i'm all knowing about this at all but all this is what we do :) Haha everything i've learned about budgeting i've learned from my mom. My mom is a pro but i try. For me budgeting is kind of like a game or a treasure hunt. A way to out smart the world. My goal is to always spend less then what we make. It's kind of hard seeing how we only make about 1000 a month and some months we can't, but normally we do pretty good :)

Well anywho mums the word! Till next time!

I know for me one of those stupid little things has stuck through for years now.
A broken milk cap.

Now for most of you reading this you probably are wondering why I am crazy enough to love broken milk caps ...well here's the story.

About 6 years ago, I was sitting around the breakfast table. My Dad, brother and youngest sister Tayah had left for school since they had to go earlier then me and my sister just younger then me (Nakelle). So Nakelle, I and my mom were sitting at the breakfast table and I wanted a second bowl of cereal but our gallon of milk ran out so I went to the fridge to get a new one. As I brought it to the table and tried to open it...it wouldn't open. I sat and twisted it relentlessly again and again, while my mom and sister sat smirking at me.

Finally after watching me struggle with my skinny Twizzler like arms my mom ask "want some help?" So with a defeated sigh I said yes and passed her the gallon. Then it was mine, and Nakelles turn to watch. My mom struggled with it, her face getting a little red. But the milk cap would not come off, and I was feeling slightly more triumphant realizing my mom couldn't get it off either and realized how funny one looks when trying to get a broken milk cap off. Finally my sister the strongest of us all, laughing her head off asked if she should try. So my mom sheepishly passed her the milk.

My sister twisted it and...it didn't budge. She gave it a murderous look (like it would help somehow) and twisted it again and again. By this time we were all laughing at this stupid milk cap that wouldn't budge! For some reason the cap was bound and determined not to leave that milk. Finally my sister ran to the silverware drawer, yanked it open and pulled out a butter knife with a look of pure triumph and a little bit of madness. "You are not" I started but before I could finish she shoved the knife under the lid and pride up. Once, twice, three times and POP! The lid went soaring like a flying saucer in hurry and landed with out a noise on our couch in the other room.

We sat and looked at it for a few minutes and started busting up laughing even harder then before. We had spent almost 15 minutes trying to open a gallon of milk, and the only reason it had been vanquished was because of Nakelle attacking it with a butter knife. To this day it's still one of my favorite memories.

I like to try and find little things like that in everyday. Things i feel like sometimes you would miss or not really care about.

I know just recently I'm very thankful for the little leaf bug that has sat on our front porch for the last week. See I thought leaf bugs only existed in Horten Hears a Who.So I feel very luck indeed to be able to say hello every day to our little leaf bug. Hello leaf bug! :)
RanDumbly Ever Afterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17680919856934080204noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2879697957776770954.post-34307160600605090402012-09-04T10:46:00.004-07:002012-09-04T10:49:51.864-07:00Its been a couple of day's and surprisingly i haven't done to much cooking. See i'm a secratary at a Chiropractors office and that means, I sit...and then i come home and watch doctor who with my husband. I sit some more. I mean i do a lot while i sit, like writing, trying to create new recipes and planning my little brothers birthday party. (which will be epic, mind you) But after awhile of doing nothing but sitting, your bottom starts looking more like a pancake then a butt.

So I decided to do something about it. Me and my husband started off into the sunlight and walked the two miles to the park. The whole while we would pick a house and try to guess what kind of people lived there judging by their front yard. When we reached the park it was alive with people, a little girls party raged by the play ground, a couple lay kissing under some tree's and to my ultimate amusment there were two girls and a boy doing kickboxing.

We decided to do random pictures. Like "act like your an avenger!" or "Be a model!" Here's my problem...I take very VERY bad model pictures. Seeing how i have the grace of an elephant on skates, it's hard to make me look pretty in pictures. William does great Avenger poses though ;)

So a recipe...If you live where i do most people know what "funeral potatoes" are, but the more i talk to people outside my little state the more i realize not everyone knows what they are! This is a tragedy that if i can i would love to fix. See they are one of my many food addictions.

Funeral Potatoes

You'll need:

8 potatoes baked (I normally through them in the microwave for about 15-20 minutes) And skinned (once their baked you can just peel the skin right off them)
(*tip: It's better if you peel the skin off them when their cooled down. (I don't like third degree burns and i'm guessing you don't either) You can cook them the day before and just leave them on the counter or throw them in the fridge for a few minutes.)

2 c. sour cream
2 cans of cream of chicken soup (just normal size, I always get the generic brand)
3 T. of butter melted
3/4 cup of cheese ( or if your like me just throw it in by the handful and until it looks cheesy enough for you.)
Cornflakes + 2 T of melted butter (Optional)

So first pre heat your oven to the basic 350. While that heats up go ahead and grate those potatoes in a bigish bowl. It shouldn't take long, then dump everything in, like all at once (I found if you don't stir everything in at the same time you stir it to much and it makes the potatoes more like mashed potatoes) Then pack it in a 9x13 foil line pan (You can grease it i just don't like the clean up so i use foil) Top evenly with the buttered cornflakes if you wish and pop it in the oven for 30-40 minutes.
My first offical blog entry....WooooOOOoooo. I suppose i should explain why i chose this name for a blog. (cause it's kinda different)

I've always loved to cook. I've never been to culinary school but my parents were the best teachers i could have! Between pancakes, dinners, candies and cakes they taught me all i know. And then they sent me happily on my way into the real world at 18. A little while later i met this great guy. Like amazing! And funny enough we ended up getting married.

But i'm not living happily ever after.

Why? You may ask. Because that is a phrase that let's you know that a great story is over. There is nothing more. Kaput.

But life doesn't end after you find your prince. It keeps moving forward in this crazy random (and sometimes stupid) way! Taking you this way and that. Life is the craziest roller coaster we will ever ride. But it keeps moving forward, you discover new things, taste new things and you LIVE!

So we live randomly ever after :)

I hope what i post on here will inspire you (or make you laugh...) (or make you hungry) (yeah any of those will work)

I guess i can start with cupcake number one! (say it in megara's voice...it's epic)

It's my Lemon burst cupcake! Tada! I'm not the best indoor photographer with my little camera but it'll do.

(Keep an eye out I'm working on some new recipes! I'll post picture soon :) RanDumbly Ever Afterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17680919856934080204noreply@blogger.com0
